Be sustainable

WithPrint

Paper is regarded as one of the world’s great sustainable products: it’s biodegradable, recyclable and made from a renewable raw material. Nevertheless, as a company, we are aware that our business has an impact on the environment around us.

At WithPrint, we strongly believe in sustainable print, and recognise our responsibility to the environment. We are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our activities, protecting the climate, and conserving our planets resources.

As part of our commitment to become carbon-neutral, our green energy tariff ensures that all the electricity used at our production site is now generated from 100% renewable sources.

Since 2020 we’ve worked with the World Land Trust and Forest Carbon Schemes to offset the carbon associated with the production of the materials we use. We also work with our delivery partners DPD and UPS to offset the carbon emissions associated with the transportation of our shipments, by supporting world low carbon initiatives,.

Since December 2021, over 95% of the waste we have generated has been diverted away from landfill. The majority of this is recycled, but as small percentage goes to energy recovery plants to be used as fuel. We recognise that this is an imperfect solution and we’re working towards sustainable recycling for all our waste. Alongside our waste management partners, we will continue to monitor, evaluate and implement the latest recycling solutions.

We are proud to work alongside FoilCo as part of the Zero foil to landfill initiative. Since Aug 2017, they have recovered over 500 tonnes of foil that otherwise would have gone to landfill. That’s approximately 80,000 bags of foil (5.84 million litres). They’ve prevented this from ending up in UK landfill which is amazing. Find out more here.

This is just the beginning and there’s much more we can do. Through continual education and development of our processes and products, we hope to further reduce our environmental impact. We want to lead the conversation, and work with other like-minded companies and individuals to make the world a better place.
