Environment

As you now know (if you’ve read the other blog posts), one of our key values is: ‘Do the right thing, even when no-one is looking’. To demonstrate this here are some details of the things we already do to minimise our impact on the environment.

Recycled House Stock & General Use Materials

All of our house stocks and packaging are recycled and recyclable and we have a wider range of green/recycled/recyclable materials we can work with to suit your project. It’s worth chatting to us when you start a project so we can find the right product for you.

Reduced Waste to Landfill

All of our general waste is sorted and recycled where possible. Our efforts mean an amazing 97.6% of our waste diverted from landfill. We were also one of the first companies to sign up to FoilCo’s Zero to landfill scheme and we now collect all waste and post it to FoilCo for processing.

Recycle / Re-use

With our new HP Indigo 7900 we have signed up to HP’s Return Scheme which means that all waste and consumables are collected by HP to be re-used or recycled properly.

Our marketing packs that include our print guides, brochures, samples and our business card packaging are all produced from part packs of paper we have on the shelf. It sounds simple but bringing life to stock we may have previously recycled is very satisfying, and ever changing stock means that sample packs can be quite individual.

Carbon Offsetting

We are signed up to the Woodland Trust and World Land Trust carbon offset schemes across all suppliers. We also use DPD and UPS for our local and international deliveries and all of your parcels are automatically carbon offset here too. This means that if you’ve used us for your print, then you’ve helped capture 31,135kg of CO2, you’ve protected 3,248 sqm of rainforest and planted 596.8 sqm of new woodland since 2020.

Green Energy

Our energy has been 100% renewable for many years and our current provider is Octopus.

But can we do more?

The simple answer is always yes. We are looking at ways for sorting more of our waste to bring us to a zero to landfill status. We are also investigating a take back scheme for PVC Banners and Rigid materials so that the events and larger projects we help with can be cleaner to.
