Get to know WithPrint

Let’s start by introducing you to WithPrint. If you don’t know already, I’m Alan and I started WithPrint (formerly Kolor Skemes) back in October 1999.

Originally I worked as a freelance designer / artworker from my bedroom in a small flat in Somerset. Some of the first clients sat on the end of my bed while designs and briefs were worked through. Luckily this didn’t last too long before an opportunity at a shared office became available. 

Creative print has always excited me and I enjoy making things so I decided to invest in production equipment and bring the print services we had in house. Things have organically grown from there. Eventually as the team grew I rebranded from Kolor Skemes to WithPrint Limited (with the help of Supple Studio). I also dropped our design services to concentrate on our real strength, working with print. 

In 2014 I purchased our current home. The small riverside cottage was built around 1840 and included a piggery next door. Together with my team, we spent 6 months converting the piggery to our print studio. The space is also surrounded by 1.5 acres of land, including our own small orchard (yes, I made cider once too).

Fast forward to today and we have some of the best equipment in the industry, a great space, an amazing reputation and best of all, a super team to support you. As you can tell, I am passionate about what we do and how we do it and I love talking to people about it.
